Nanotubular Geometry for Stabilizing Metastable 1T‐Phase Ru Dichalcogenides

Owing to their remarkable electrochemical activities, 1T phase transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) materials have attracted considerable interest in recent decades. However, metastable phases are difficult prepare and readily change phases. Therefore, for the first time, a monolayer nanotubular Ru comprising 92% of is synthesized, which highest value ever obtained using solvothermal methods. In tubular geometry, exhibits superior durability against various external stimuli electrocatalytic activity toward oxygen reduction reaction. According density-functional-theory-based molecular dynamics calculations, sufficiently curved architectures can bond identities safely maintain phases, hence providing strategy stabilizing The study results form basis extensively applying will stimulate structures materials.
